Ex vivo efficacy studies 10 senopeptide ® : Lamin B1 Procollagen I Lamin B1 is a structural protein on the cell nucleus surface. During senescence, there is a decrease in the levels of this biomarker. Procollagen I DAPI (cell core staining) The majority structural proteins on the cell nucleus surface are called lamins. The fibroblasts that lack the Lamin B1 gene show premature senescence and low survival. The Lamin B1 is therefore a robust cell senescence biomarker. Type I Procollagen is reduced in photoaged skin. This decrease can result both in an increase in degradation due to metalophysiinases, as well as a reduction in procollagen synthesis. Rejuvenating effects can be observed both at the senescence level (Lamin B1) and the extracellular matrix (Procollagen I) after the application of senopeptide on aging skin (71 years).
